WorkMonk Story ?

Have you ever wondered and dreamed that your Mon to Fri, 9 to 6 job becomes a Work from home Job so you can work from your own home in the time that suits you, doing work which you like and want to with more ownership and freedom ? Well I (Pushkar Gaikwad) am working as freelancer since 2004, have done almost everything that can be done on the web by 2007, it was fun, I totally enjoyed it and made good money too. But than I realized that it is not only me who want to work like this, India has a huge skilled workforce and we can have hundred thousand people who can work like this, what they need is a platform and a medium. So I started WorkMonk in 2007.

We have already built a strong distributed workforce but want to scale up really fast and now with we being of TheMorhpheus batch and with investors money in our bank account, we need few good men who can help us build the company.

What is our Vision

To build a Virtual Company and have Partners and Employees who can work from their homes. We want to build a complete new industry and new standards of work getting done where Real people will be doing work Virtually.

Who are the People behind WorkMonk ?

Founder – Pushkar Gaikwad (that would be me), working as a freelancer when I was in 3rd semester in my college and started the company somewhere in 2008. I often jokes around of going backwards, like we got clients first, then got the team, now building a company and core team and in 2012 we will write our business plan.

Partners, Mentors and Dronacharyas – WorkMonk is a part of The Morpheus Batch 6. So far over 43 Companies have been part of TM and with their huge network of category creators, it gives WorkMonk access to people/knowledge of any market as well as seasoned entrepreneurs.

What are we trying to do ?

To build a pure online company whose workforce will be working from home, preferably full time or part time. We feel this is right way to do the work, giving ownership and responsibility to the “workforce”. There are/will be project managers and there will be multiple people working in a team, so it is a real company in virtual world with real people working in virtual space to get the real work done.

What kind of Job Profiles we are looking for ?

We are looking for people who can play multiple roles but specifically looking for these 3 kind of people
1. Platform Developer (php/mysql + technically very strong + fast learner)
2. Distributed WorkForce Manager (technically strong + fast learner + good with people)
3. Business Developer (fast learner + good with people + knows how to close deals)

Age, Experience, Qualification and Location doesn’t matter but Passion, Energy, Knowledge, Intelligence and Hardwork does.
